Ultraman Max - Lightspeed Debut!
The new Ultraman that comes after Nexus comes on stage at the speed of light! Awakened kaijus and alien invaders will have to contend with the strongest and fastest hero! The battle begins this summer!!
Ultraman Max begins airing on 2 July 2005, every Saturday at 0730hrs on CBC/TBS channels.

In the near future, mankind’s degradation of the environmental had led to the awakening of the ancient kaiju that slumbered below the earth. The elite strike team, DASH from Japan’s UDF branch was established to combat the threat. A youth from DASH was chosen to merge with the “Giant of Light” - with the Max Spark, Kaito Touma becomes ULTRAMAN MAX.
Using the theme of “Light Speed", Ultraman Max returns the giant hero franchise to its roots. As the younger audience did not take to Nexus, this new series is meant to endear them to Tsuburaya’s works. Max’s design is based on Ultraseven. This is a continuity of a design last used 32 years ago (since Ultraman Taro).
