One of our Ultra fans, UltramanShiaz went on a pilgrimage to Ultraman Land during November 2004. Here are his reports:
ULTRAMAN LAND is an amusement park built by Tsuburaya Productions, located in the middle of Kyushu, one of Japan’s four major islands. If you are a die-hard fan, you can drop by this place during your Kyushu trip. However, it’s a very small place, which can be cover in about 3hours.
Location: 1574 Honide, Arao City, Kumamoto 864-0012 JAPAN
Admission Fees: Adult 700 Yen and 500 Yen child
Operating Hours : Daily from 10am - 5pm (may vary depending on the season)
How to get there

By Train, Then Bus
Take a train from Hakata station(main station in Kyushu) to Kumamoto then to Omuta Station (around 50mins train ride)

As you walk out from the station, you can see the bus-stop

Take Mitsui GreenLand Bus (ard 25mins ride) to UltramanLand
The bus will stop at Mitsui Hotel Verde, which is right across the street from ULTRAMANLAND.
Or you can take a taxi too (price is about 1600yen, 10-15mins ride)
